Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. I can't understand either why people post these hair videos on youtube and then when someone asks them a simple question regarding their hairstyle, etc.. they refuse to even answer the question. When people post these videos, they should expect that people are going to ask questions.

I have a similar flat iron, not sure if it's exact same one. But it did come from Sally's and I want to say it b/w $45-$50. Ended up getting a more expensive one a week ago, but I think it's my technique that's bad not the iron lol.

if you straighten your hair every once in a while and take the precautions like she did to protect your hair then you shouldn't have any problems. but i do warn you one thing most people do before they straighten their hair is the day before they deep condition since you're applying direct heat and you want to prevent damage. also you need to make sure you use heat protector because if you don't you can have heat damage and depending on severity you may not be able to revert it.

you can transition your hair to natural. i just have to warn you that for some people it can be very tedious because you're working with two different textures. if you do the research and are willing to do the work then you can have beautiful hair. i couldn't take it so i decided to just big chop it all off.
